D9 Agents Recognized with VC Award

Three of our agents from Southeast Extension District 9 were recognized and awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence. These awards were presented on Friday, March 25, 2011 in the new AgriLife Center on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Congratulations to Tom LeRoy, Montgomery County Extension Agent – Horticulture, on receiving a 2010 Texas A&M AgriLife Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence for the County Extension Agent -Agriculture and Natural Resources category. It is great to recognize Tom with this very top Texas A&M AgriLife Award for his many accomplishments with the Horticulture Program.

Congratulations to Sandra Fry, Fort Bend County Extension Agent – Family and Consumer Sciences, on receiving a 2010 Texas A&M AgriLife Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence for the County Extension Agent -Family and Consumer Sciences category. It is great to recognize Sandy with this very top Texas A&M AgriLife Award for her many accomplishments with the FCS Program.

Congratulations to Billy Zanolini, Madison County Extension Agent – Agriculture and Natural Resources, on receiving a 2010 Texas A&M AgriLife Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence for the County Extension Agent – 4-H and Youth Development category. It is great to recognize Billy with this very top Texas A&M AgriLife Award for his many accomplishments with the 4-H Program.

It is great for District 9 to make a clean sweep of all the awards in the County Extension Agent categories.

Also, congratulations are in order for Dr. Monty Dozier, Regional Program Director – Agriculture and Natural Resources, on receiving a 2010 Texas A&M AgriLife Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence as a member of the Rainwater Harvesting Task Force Team. It is great to recognize Monty with this very top Texas A&M AgriLife Award for his many accomplishments with water conservation and quality.
