Centra on Insurance in Disaster Preparedness

March 29, 2011 by

The role of insurance in disaster preparedness is critically important. Our Extension Family Resource Management Group has been working with the Consumer Protection Division at the Texas Department of Insurance to partner on several efforts.  One of these efforts involves our accessing their expertise in insurance to provide some professional development  for county Extension agents.

On April 20, 2011 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., we will be conducting a Centra titled “The Role of Insurance in Disaster Preparedness”.  This Centra will be presented in three parts: Homeowner’s Insurance, Flood Insurance, and Windstorm Insurance.  While most of our agents should be interested in participating in the Homeowner’s and Flood insurance sections, the Windstorm section will be of particular interest to our agents in coastal counties.

The following link will allow you to enroll in this event.   http://165.95.250.7/GA/main/0000010781340000012ee3ebdaf58659

Please take advantage of this important training opportunity.  The Centra will be recorded for later viewing.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
